Ingredients
3 large boneless skinless chicken breasts (1 1/4 to 1 1/2 lbs), cut into 1-inch bite-size pieces
3/4 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning blend
3/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 tablespoons unsalted butter (divided)
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley (optional garnish)
Instructions
Pat the chicken pieces dry with a paper towel.
Combine the Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper in a bowl and toss with the chicken until well coated.
Heat a 12-inch heavy-duty skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter.
Add the chicken in a single layer and sear for 3-4 minutes undisturbed.
Flip the chicken and cook for another 4-5 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and the minced garlic, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
Remove from heat and toss the chicken to coat in the garlic butter glaze.
Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
Ensure the chicken is patted completely dry to achieve the best sear. For extra flavor, you can add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice at the end. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
