1 pound chicken tenderloins or cutlets

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning divided
2 tablespoons shredded Parmesan cheese (for coating)

2 tablespoons butter
1/2 medium yellow onion finely diced
3 cloves garlic minced
2 cups chicken stock
3/4 cup half and half
8 ounces dried pasta
3/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese (for sauce)
Instructions
Combine 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, 2 tablespoons Parmesan, and flour in a shallow dish, and coat the chicken strips evenly.
In a large Dutch oven or skillet, melt 1 tablespoon butter with 1 teaspoon olive oil over medium heat and sear chicken until golden and cooked through, then set aside.
Heat the remaining butter and oil in the same pot and sauté onions for 2 minutes and garlic for 1 minute.
Deglaze the pan with 1/2 cup chicken stock, scraping up all the browned bits.
